On the inaugural blog post of Behind the Brand, where I give you a little sneak peak behind some of my (and your) favorite brands, I am going to look at one of my new loves, FARMACY.
It all started when founder, Mark Veeder, with a discovery of a type of plant Echinacea GreenEnvy™ (which is patented and exclusive to FARMACY) and contains 300% more antioxidants than regular Echinacea.
What you need
Hands down the Green Clean makeup removing cleaning balm! It is SO good. I could ramble on and on about how much I love this cleanser but it would take forever (I actually have already written a blog post on this, which you can find here ☺️)
How it’s changing the industry
According to their website farmacybeauty.com, they work “with local farmers to ensure that our key ingredients remain potent and are cultivated in a way that’s good for the planet. Currently, we partner with Willow Wisp Organic Farm in Pennsylvania and Patent Wall Organic Farm in the Catskills to cultivate our Echinacea GreenEnvy™. The honey in our honey collection is cultivated by our happy, healthy VIBs (very important bees) that pollinate the Echinacea GreenEnvy™ flowers, which infuses the honey with powerful antioxidants.”
Their whole line is also: paraben free, formaldehyde donor free, synthetic fragrance free, mineral oil free, phthalate free, and cruelty free. Those all sound pretty nice to me!
They recently released Freshen Up which is an all-natural deodorant stick with moringa + papaya. I haven’t tried this one yet but it sounds really nice (and it’s vegan and cruelty free too!)
